A quote is only as accurate as what we know before we show up. Over the phone, we can give you a rough range if you can tell us: the door's approximate age, whether it's a single or double, what kind of spring system it has (torsion bar above the door, or extension springs along the tracks), and what it's actually doing, won't open, opens partway, opener runs but door doesn't move, loud bang before it stopped working.
What we can't price without seeing the door: any job where the drums, bearing plates, or track alignment might be involved, because those parts wear together and a spring replacement on a door with a bent track is a different job than a clean spring swap. Same with panel replacement, matching an existing door's finish and panel style on a house built in the 1970s sometimes means the exact match isn't made anymore, and that changes the job from a repair to a partial or full replacement. We won't guess at that over the phone.
